Pelvic Embodiment Sessions: read more
The session is of approximately 2½ hours’ duration and begins with creating a sacred space, checking on how you are feeling and a brief discussion of any issues you may want to offer up for release in the session. A simple grounding and self-connection ritual is held as you set your intention for what you would like to take from the session.
This is followed by a sensual and nurturing full body massage to warm up your body and instil feelings of deep trust and surrender. We then approach your ‘yoni’ externally with full consent, and finally the significant part of the session is reserved for internal bodywork.
The connection between the energy of your heart and yoni (vulva, vagina & womb) is emphasized right through the massage. If there is any step that feels challenging for you, it’s perfectly okay to say No! You are in fact encouraged to practise asserting your true boundaries in this therapeutic space. Various points of your yoni as well as any scar tissue are massaged gently. You may feel pleasure, discomfort and anything in between. It is all completely welcomed and held as sacred. Memories, feelings, images or meanings may come up, and the unexpressed energy of these may be released as tears, vocalization, or spontaneous movement. At other times, particular points may induce waves of nourishing orgasmic energy which may course right through your body.
As we bring the bodywork part of the session to a close, you will be encouraged to remain in a lying position for a few minutes in order to help integrate the experience.
As part of the closing ritual you may want to share about your experience and refine your intentions beyond the session.
The power of a Pelvic Embodiment Session is not to be under-estimated!
Sessions can sometimes induce feelings of tiredness which is usually a sign of toxins being released into your body for clearing as you let go of the bracing in the tissues of your pelvis. It may also reflect to you that you’ve been pushing too hard and travelling on overdrive.
A single session will acts as a circuit-breaker and starting point in what could be a wondrous journey of self-discovery, healing and empowerment. Three-session packages are available to make this possibility more affordable for you. If significant trauma is unearthed, it may be preferable to first opt for sessions of therapy to specifically address trauma and create safety outside of the context of pelvic bodywork.

As we haven’t yet recreated the Goddess Temples of the past where this woman-to-woman transmission was the norm, it would be natural to have a distinct reaction to the notion of a Pelvic Embodiment Session!
It may be one of curiosity, excitement, anxiety, self-judgement, overwhelm, guilt, shame or a mixture of these. An initial ‘phone conversation is therefore an essential first step to knowing if a session is right for you.
A Pelvic Embodiment Session is a gift to yourself as a woman and can be received at any age or stage of life including the final six weeks of pregnancy where it is modified to avoid the area of your cervix. The only circumstances that would preclude you from a session are if you have an active STI or full blown sexual or birth trauma. In the latter situation, a course of trauma-specific therapy is recommended to build a sense of safety and capacity in your body before specifically approaching your pelvic area.
