The workshop is designed to help you to:

  • understand the roots of trauma, how you can support clients who show signs of trauma whilst in your care, and avoid re-traumatization in the process
  • discern the difference between re-negotiating trauma and letting go of ‘management strategies’ on a somatic level
  • tune in to how clients may override their natural capacity
  • recognise why your own nervous system regulation cannot be feigned, and how it affects your clients
  • clarify your scope of practice
  • appreciate the value of your therapeutic presence to support healing
